sandeep menon, former student of model engineering college (mec) @ thrikkakara, died brain tumour on may 3, 2008. in memory, parents started foundation called sandeep menon foundation helps cancer patients , students not able finance studies.

the second edition held on 8 august 2009 @ college auditorium. quizmaster nagadarsan suresh, known quizmaster & alumnus of model engineering college , iim-a. total prizes worth rs. 50,000 given. winners nakul p. sangoli , chaitanya g. hegde rvce bangalore. rohit s. college of engineering, guindy , balaji b srm university runners-up. rahul gupta , sudarshan m. a. rvce bangalore stood third.

the fifth edition again held @ bharathiya vidya bhavan hall, kochi.the quizmaster being maj. chandrakant nair. deepak thomas , prasanth john abraham of nit calicut emerged winners.
