numerous rivers run through south cameroon plateau, particularly in southeast. these bodies of water drain both atlantic ocean , congo river basin. rivers south of sanaga follow equatorial regime; is, reach high water point during rainy seasons , low point during dry seasons. there, rivers such dja, boumba, , sangha have carved out valleys. rivers flow , experience seasonal flooding during rainy season.


the sanaga , rivers north of follow complex, or mixed, sudano-guinea regime because territory drain lies in both tropical , equatorial climate zones. means upstream, follow tropical regime, high water during long rainy season , low water during long dry season. however, further south, receive constant rainfall , flow steadily.
