the first sylva car launched in 1982. sylva star kit based on purpose built 2 seater chassis using front subframe , rear axle donor vauxhall viva car powered 1300 , 1600 4 cylinder ford kent crossflow engines, though other engine options available. sylva star first in long line of small, agile 2 seater open top cars designed jeremy phillips , built fun , economy.

the sylva leader evolution of sylva star retaining 2 seater, open top, layout improved design features. 2 piece fiberglass body consisted of front hinging bonnet (hood) , low sided passenger compartment. engine options ford kent crossflow , fiat twin cam engines. sylva star owners replaced front narrower , more curved leader front body piece.

the enduring of sylva models striker radical evolution of star , leader dropping viva donor car in favour of purpose built suspension , lighter bodywork. car aimed @ 2 markets, home car builder required economical kit built using readily available mechanics tools , more demanding race car builder favoured handling , simple design.

phoenix

the phoenix built race version of striker. core chassis similar fiberglass bodywork developed race purposes curved , lowered front , wheel covering outer edges. used extensively in kitcar race series phoenix still popular choice less expensive end of clubman motorsport. design sold sylva stuart taylor motorsport have since sold on again. has found new home raw engineering own rights striker.

launched in 1991 , sold fisher sportscars in 1994. owned fury sportscars purchased rights bgh geartech., based in kent uk. fury has been successful in competition cars racing in many championships, including 750 motor club s rgb (road-going bike-engined kitcar) , kitcar series. many different engines can fitted fury, including manner of car engines ford crossflow rover v8 , cosworth turbo. motorbike engines have been fitted , popular track cars due low weight, high power , built-in sequential gearbox relatively little morey. there 2 versions of fury rear suspension, live axle version uses ford escort rear axle located using 2 trailing links in conjunction panhard rod. coil on shock absorbers used give ride comfort combined excellent handling , grip. independent rear suspension version uses ford sierra rear hub assembly in conjunction purpose built hub carriers forming uprights between upper , lower wishbones. once again, coil on shock absorbers ensure refined ride quality , excellent traction.

stylus classic

launched in 1994 , sold specialist sports cars in 1996.

the first styluses used modified fury chassis, afterwards purpose built chassis made accommodate lowered doors. front rocker arms upgraded needle bearings , front lower arms got redesigned prevent lower ball joints being damaged. sylva models, various engines can fitted.

stylus rt

in 2003, stylus rt launched making modern looking sportscar.

the stylus rt (road & track) uses ssc standard chassis, wider front suspension, & use wheel spacers @ rear or if de-dion can made wider. rear wing developed @ swansea university in there motorsport dept. rt has full front splitter , rear diffuser. these 3 aerodynamic aids optional extras. ssc fitted quad style lights. standard stylus can modified rt specification.

specialist sports cars sold rights stylus sports cars in 2004, based in mid-wales, company ceased trading in 2008.

as of 2014, stylus returned under new ownership, located on uk south coast. promised mx5 based sdv version of stylus remains in development , expected appear in time stoneleigh show in 2017.

jester

mk 1 fiesta based fun car produced harlequin autokits.

the jester kit has been bought stingray motorsport in ripley, derbyshire. working jeremy phillips, stingray motorsport has taken jester through full re-development process, jester uses more modern , available donor, ford ka. new jester available, s simple build , adjustable avo shocks , cobra seats should possible build complete car under £5000.00.

mojo

the mojo launched in 2000. designed around front-wheel-drive engine , gearbox mk2 fiesta, whole setup fitted @ rear give mid-mounted transverse setup. ford cvh engine standard, other engines such ford zetec, toyota 4age , renault 5 gt turbo used.

the mojo used de dion rear suspension setup combined variation on sylva inboard front suspension design.

mojo 2

the mojo 2 redesigned mojo independent double wishbone rear suspension. body redesigned @ rear, , 2 new nose designs introduced.

mojo se

a further development of mojo 2, took rear chassis design of riot se give longer wheelbase accommodate wider variety of engines. rear bodywork redesigned accommodate length behind rear bulkhead.

riot

the riot motor cycle engined version of mojo 2. original version used yamaha r1 engine , called r1ot. later redesigned take ford zetec se , called riot se. went on become kit car of year 2005 .[1]
