a unicameral body purely advisory functions, senate established in 1829 fourth national assembly @ argos in replacement of panellinion, established previous year. had 27 members, 21 of whom chosen governor (ioannis kapodistrias) 63 candidates nominated assembly, , further 6 appointed directly governor. georgios sisinis elected president. after kapodistrias murder in 1831, senate appointed series of governing councils lead state. in 1832, fifth national assembly @ nafplion abolished senate, senate refused recognize act, , survived until arrival of king otto in february 1833.
