the parish church of saint andrew
this parish church constructed carrstone , has saxo-norman round tower , west wall. rest of church dates 14th century. windows in aisle , chancel decorated tracery , in perpendicular style. nave roof king-post construction, whilst chancel roof of king post design. inside church of benches date medieval period, there 15th-century screen has been restored still retains 4 original panels paintings of saints, although saint andrew cross can recognised. there several notable memorials in church, in particular, tomb of fifth earl of orford, baron robert horace walpole. white marble cartouche cherub heads @ corners henry spelman, soldier, died in calcutta in bengal.
wolterton hall
south of village estate of wolterton hall. hall built horatio walpole between 1727 , 1741 , designed architect thomas ripley. constructed red brick stone dressing building stands in form of block of 7 3 bays. elevations plain without decoration plan of house being of triple pile , example of palladian standard. on garden side of hall, george repton added arcading , staircase leading terrace in 1829. interior of house has fine examples of period fireplaces , plaster ceilings. restoration has been carried out in 20th century. hall grade ii listed building.

within grounds of wolterton estate can seen remains of saint margaret’s church. round tower remains of church , lost village of wolterton stood north of church.
