the 2014 premiership rugby sevens series fifth edition of competition, , first include welsh regions. group stages ran on 26 july 31 july – 2 august 2014 , final @ stoop, twickenham on 8 august 2014.


cardiff blues 7s , newport gwent dragons 7s qualified group a, played @ cardiff arms park on friday 26 july. gloucester 7s , london irish 7s qualified group b, played @ kingsholm on thursday 31 july. harlequins 7s , northampton saints 7s qualified group c, played @ franklin s gardens on friday 1 august; , newcastle falcons 7s , leicester tigers 7s qualified group d, played @ darlington arena on saturday 2 august.


the finals played @ stoop on friday 8 august. 8 teams contested more traditional sevens style finals competition, consisting of quarter-finals, followed plate , cup competition. newport gwent dragons 7s defeated 12 – 5 gloucester 7s in cup final. first time team has won successive series finals.
