in june , july 2008, canada hosted bermuda 3 odis , intercontinental cup matches against bermuda , scotland.

in august, canada traveled ireland world twenty20 qualification tournament. canada did not qualify world twenty20, finishing 5th ahead of bermuda. odis , intercontinental cup match hampered rain.

in late summer of 2008, west indies , bermuda came canada play one-day scotiabank series canada. canada defeated bermuda, face west indies in final. west indies captain chris gayle smashed sixteenth odi century , led side easy seven-wicket victory against canada in finals of scotiabank odi series @ king city.

2012

canada participated in caribbean t20 tournament again in 2012 losing 4 matches. thousands of canadian s watched matches on rogers sportsnet 1 giving team unprecedented domestic exposure.

following tournament, canada participated in 2012 t20 cricket world cup qualification tournament in uae. canada finished 6th in tournament , did not qualify 2012 t20 cricket world cup.

in april, ravin moorthy elected new president of cricket canada succeeding ranjit saini. moorthy joined on board vimal hardat, amit joshi, charles pais , calvin clarke. @ meeting newfoundland , labrador admitted cricket canada family 10th provincial member of organization.
