she third child (and second daughter) of louis-philippe, king of french, , wife maria amalia, daughter of king ferdinand of naples. solidly educated on father s insistence, , took sculpture , drawing. had own studio installed in tuileries palace in work. described lively character great energy, interested in both parties , politics.
