languages may have mid central rounded vowel (a rounded [ə]), distinct both close-mid , open-mid vowels. however, since no language known distinguish three, there no separate ipa symbol mid vowel, , symbol [ɵ] close-mid central rounded vowel used instead. if precision desired, lowering diacritic can used: [ɵ̞]. vowel can represented adding more rounded diacritic schwa symbol, or combining raising diacritic open-mid central rounded vowel symbol, although rare use such symbols.
