ulster theory

the family may have been exiled or fled ulster being catholic in connection 1795 battle of diamond. approximately 4,000 ulster catholics fled county mayo (see crossmolina) after defeat. theory states family settled in , around town of castlebar can still found bearing name of rowland. however, while ulster catholics may have married family or clan, theory doubted families presence in connacht pre-date 1795 600 years.
