the superdome server available in several models, including sd-16, sd-32, , sd-64. hp announced superdome 2 in april 2010, offering resiliency improvements, modular, bladed design, common components , crossbar fabric routes transactions optimal pathway between blades , i/o. superdome 2 addresses requirements high-performance computing providing flexible scalability , fault tolerance necessary mission-critical workloads.


in november 2011 hp announced project odyssey, development roadmap unify server architectures on single platform. roadmap includes blades intel xeon processors hp superdome 2 enclosure (code name “dragonhawk”) , scalable c-class blade enclosures (code named “hydralynx”), while supporting windows , linux environments features hp-ux within next 2 years.
