a digital library excellent infrastructure has been set @ library , information center building of gogte institute of technology campus. has been classic setup designed our computer center latest computers on wireless lan in accordance ieee 802.11b. d-link make access points , wireless lan cards have been used.

objectives / goals

primary objective has been promote research oriented attitude in students , faculty members in research activities.

this facility support students both of under graduate , post graduate levels, greater extent, in project assignments. available internet bandwidth used access various net based libraries available on world wide web.

the goals are:

access various national , international journals of different disciplines through e-subscription.
access various cds shared on set up.
enable users take hard copy or soft copy back-ups of papers / articles.

the library has been part of git’s intranet internet connectivity of 10 mbit/s. e-access available more 35 lakhs records of books, periodicals, articles, etc. , more 20,000 national , international journals. has been possible git has been member of bites (govt. of karnataka), delnet-aicte , indest-aicte scheme, programme promoted government of india. faculty , students can browse through ocean of information , order hard copies of articles too. bites (board education standards)
